Chris Hughes began his service with the City of Ontario in 1988 as a Firefighter/EMT, working his way eventually to Fire Chief in December of 2004.
Chief Hughes became interested in city management three years ago, attending classes but on by the California League of Cities and other city manager groups.

As the new Director of Operations, it is my personal commitment to find out what the businesses in Ontario need from the Chamber
to enable them to be successful. The programs that the Chamber will facilitate will be driven by the needs of our members.
A business needs to be seen. The Chamber's new marketing campaign will enable a business to uniquely position itself in a competitive market.
This will allow maximum exposure with minimum investment by the member.
Working closely with other Chambers on a local and state level, we are a member's advocate on legislative issues. Together, the Chambers are
a united force which creates positive change that affects commerce.
The Chamber encourages members to participate in unique programs offered to enhance business. These are exciting times to observe the
economy making positive change. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is the pathway to continued success.
